Wasserwerkstatt
Wasserwerkstatt was founded by Fabienne in spring 2024 with the aim of promoting a more resource-efficient approach to textiles, and neoprene in particular. Rather than hastily discarding damaged wetsuits, Wasserwerkstatt focuses on professional repairs to significantly extend the lifespan of the suits. The company repairs neoprene items used for swimming, surfing, diving and triathlon.
Fabienne combines her passion for water, sport and textiles with her professional experience. Even as a child, there was nothing better than a holiday by the Atlantic. After several years in elite sport as a swimmer, gaining experience at national and international competitions, she now spends more of her time by and in the sea again.
After training as a clothing designer and obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Business Management, she worked for several years at the outdoor clothing brand Patagonia. There, she deepened her knowledge of sustainable business decisions and repair options for outdoor and neoprene clothing. These experiences ultimately led to the founding of Wasserwerkstatt.
