Front Cover
Noa Deane, Off The Wall. "This was a true double-up," says photographer Ryan Craig, "and the energy of the swell started pulling me out of my ideal position. As Noa bottom turned, I kept my arm in the face as long as possible, holding down the trigger, but I had to pull through before getting sucked over. The wave broke so violently that it sent a shockwave back out to sea and an explosion of whitewater 15 feet in the air. I thought I missed the angle and told Noa I owed him a beer when he popped up. He didn't seem to care. He's pulled into caves with or without a camera for years, and this was just another one of many. Later in the day, though, I uploaded the images and saw that my positioning higher on the face complemented the moment more than being down in the flats."

Back Cover
KAHLUA by Yusuke Hanai, 2023, acrylic paint on a surfboard shaped by Herbie Fletcher.
