Backwood Boards develops, builds and sells surfboards. Her love of the sea and passion for surfing brought her to surfboard building many years ago. The desire to pursue this passion more consciously and sustainably gave rise to the idea of using renewable raw materials. At the Aachen location, Backwood combines technical expertise and social commitment.  

Locally grown Paulownia wood from North Rhine-Westphalia forms the core of these environmentally friendly boards. The Backwood Pelican combines all the features of a minimalist in a relatively short shape. The nose and tail remain classic, although the rail line is significantly shortened. The ideal board for those who want to take the next step and have a little longboard feeling on a short board. 

Backwood Boards belong to the REBEL network. They built two boards especially for us and are in our shop in Hamburg.
