"RUE DU PARADI"

The Breton illustrator Jacques de Kerdrel grew up in the department of Finistère, the westernmost part of France surrounded by the waves of the Atlantic. The passionate sailor and surfer has been painting and drawing in his studio in St. Pol de Leon for many years. Inspired by the ocean, the waves, the spirit and lifestyle of surfing, Jacques immortalizes this feeling on his canvases.

Jacques de Kerdrel:
"My illustration want to talk about the pleasure of surfing, without every idea of competition or style. Only sharing a nice moment in a generous nature witch belong to every one.
My choice is voluntarily cheerful and naïve, the characters are round and uninhibited, contrary to marketing stereotypes ; Illustrations to give to smile and to open brackets of carefreeness."
