LixSan is originally from Colombia and has lived in her adopted home of Hamburg for over twenty years. Her art brings together the vibrant colors of her Colombian roots with the diverse influences of her time in Germany.

Whether typography, calligraphy, wall painting or illustration – LixSan likes to try out new things and let her curiosity guide her. Her abstract works and collages are intimate portraits of her own journey and address themes such as love, relationships and the facets of being a woman.

For LixSan, the sea is more than just a source of inspiration - it is a place of peace and freedom that always reminds her of her home in Colombia. The waves, the smell of the sea and the endless colors of the water give her a feeling of space and security at the same time. She discovered surfing through surfskating a few years ago, which has only made her connection to the sea stronger.
