Martin Scherf

 

Through his love for surfing, Martin found his way into photography. He finds inspiration not only in remote surf spots and coasts of this world, but also in the urban environment.

He uses a variety of techniques, unconventional framing, and lighting moods to create unique, expressive works. His work goes beyond pure photography: it is a form of mindfulness and a dialogue between humanity, nature, and society.
 

Martin photographs like a rebel with his own rules, without external regulations. "His art is a free pass for one's own creativity with plenty of room for interpretation by the viewers.  

The different and unexpectedly surprising is what appeals to him.

He wants to tell stories that require no words and capture the invisible longings and emotions behind everyday moments.

The representation of dynamics and tranquility plays a central role in conveying the complexity of surf culture and its mental reflection.
