Leonie Klöckner

Team rider Leonie lives the dream. She first started surfing at the age of 15 (after converting from windsurfing throughout her childhood) and at 16 she stayed at a surf camp for the first time. This sparked her love of surfing and travelling, and from then on she spent all her free time at various surf camps as a surf instructor. 

In 2020 Leonie and her boyfriend set off to travel the world. It was on this trip that she discovered the magic of Indonesia, where she has returned often since, even spending almost a year there in 2022 to manage a hotel. 

Back in her home town in Germany, Leonie runs a physio practice, studies sports science and trains for (and wins) Ironman events. She has also started surfing at her local standing wave. “My best trick is falling spectacularly for no reason!” 

Leonie is vegan and tries to live sustainably where possible. With plans to get back out to Indo in 2024, we’re stoked to be supplying Leonie with kit that’ll keep her shredding in the tropics.
