Khady, Aita, Deguene, Cherif
We are proud to welcome four new ambassadors to our team, representing Surfkids Shredding Senegal. Alongside many epic wins, in 2020 all of them won ISA scholarships thanks to their results in school and surf. Meet the team below:

Aita Diop was one of the first local girls to surf in Senegal and recently came second in the Africa Surf Tour. She scooped the bronze medal at the Senegal Championship in 2023, and also featured in the MamiWata Afrobook. She also won the silver medal at the Surf Senegal Cup and got 2nd at African Surf Tour 2024 in Liberia. in 2019 and achieved a diploma in the study centre A.P.A.D.A. Aita dreams of signing a contract for a major partner that will allow her to support her family and compete.

Motivated and competitive, Cherif Diop won two silver medals at the Cadet Surf Senegal Cup in 2019 and 2021, was part of the national team representing his country at the Junior WSG in El Salvador in 2022, last year went on to become the Senegal Junior Champion and recently got 5th at 1st stop of the Africa Surf Tour in Liberia. Moving forwards he wants to keep working with the Surfkids Shredding Senegal project to help local youth, especially girls, get into surfing, and one day sign a contract with a major partner.
Khady Kane is a passionate surfer and is in the under 14’s national team, as well as becoming the under 14’s Senegal Champion in 2022 and winning the under 14’s Senegal Cup in 2021. She also loves dancing and beach volley ball, and is aiming to play volley ball in the League of Dakar, alongside finishing college, participating in the Africa Surf Tour and continuing her role in Surfkids Shredding Senegal.
