Jonte Burmeister
Just like us, Jonte comes from Hamburg and grew up on the waterfront. When he was only 3 years old he was placed on a board and since then there was never a family holiday that didn’t involved the sea and surfing.
For as long as he can remember, he’s been spending his free time with family and friends on the beaches in northern Denmark, southern France and other beautiful places in the world.
In 2017 he was able to pursue his passion of surfing on a six-month tour of Australia’s east coast and gained a lot of experience in the water. Back at home he starting competing regularly, leading to the German championships and the Danish Surf Tour, in which he is currently fourth.
Jonte mostly shortboards and is deeply involved in the testing and optimising of our new Thruster Fins. He is always at our side with advice and practical help when it comes to new fin shapes.
The sea isn’t just about surfing for Jonte. Sustainability and conservation have become more and more important for him over the years and are now at the forefront of his mind. It’s awesome to be able to welcome him to the team and together bring sustainable surfing to a whole new level.
