Cold Water Sirens

Cold Water Sirens is not a typical surf school and does not offer extravagant luxury retreats. Instead, they pursue an individual, personal and, last but not least, feminist approach.

In their mermaizing surf retreats in Cold Hawaii, Denmark, they combine surfing, systemic coaching, apnea training and yoga to build community and resilience.

For generations, people have turned to cold water for its therapeutic benefits, activating the body’s natural “in-house pharmacy” and releasing powerful feel-good chemicals. Surfers know this feeling well — the healing energy of the ocean, the shared stoke after catching a wave, and the deep sense of presence that comes from moving together with the water.

At the heart of Cold Water Surf Therapy is more than just the ocean — it is community. It is about showing up for one another, building trust in the lineup, sharing challenges, laughter, and small victories. In a supportive environment, individuals don’t just strengthen their bodies; they build resilience, confidence, and connection.

Together, through cold water, shared experience, and collective encouragement, mental and physical well-being can truly flourish.

But most of all they want the society we want to live in to be represented in the line-up. That means more diversity in every way! They focus in particular on people for whom it is not always easy to access surf culture due to gender, age, mental health or mobility restrictions.

All Boards. All Bodies. All Abilities.
