He then went on to feature Tyler in two seminal surf classics “Singlefin: Yellow” and “One California Day”. And talking about the real deal, Tyler embodies so much of what makes modern Californian surf culture distinctive - the beautifully shaped and finished traditional longboards from his Tyler factory; the classical style; the fascination with old skool restored automobiles \u0026amp; more. The Tyler story is brought to us by Ed Solt, another South Bay institution and lifelong friend of his subject. In our writer Antoun Cabon’s words “the fifth edition had to be the one that deeply indicated what the Fest should be: a stand-alone gathering rooted in log and Celtic cultures, Breton identity, and the desire to welcome other small surfing communities from across Europe. An event to promote our small and mostly unknown identities, too often marginalised”.
